Ian Carson Sr.
Ian Carson Sr. Is a native of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania growing up on an organic pig farm near Hills Creek Lake. He attended Wellsboro High School playing football, running track and was on the wrestling team as well as attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania majoring in business administration, playing on the Rugby team additionally is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. While in his teens he lost a close friend to CF, an experience that has stuck with him throughout his life.
After college Ian Sr moved to Florida and has provided leadership as an executive in the information technology industry for over 23 years, 20 of those years in Jacksonville Fl. Providing consultive, outcome focused, value-based technology leadership to many enterprises most recently as a part of Cisco Technologies.
His son, Ian Jr was a lifelong friend of Dylan’s. Whether learning to swim in the Florida Tackle and Gun Club pool, attending Boy Scouts, holiday events or playing video games they always seemed to find time for each other.
Ian Sr is an active outdoorsman enthusiast, archery hunter, fly fisherman, boater, and exercise junky. He currently stands as the only Dylan’s Dream Clay Shoot Chairperson, an annual fundraiser solely benefiting the Dylan’s Dream foundation. Ian also participates in many other nonprofit organizations, IT industry roles and volunteers his time often in many areas without recognition nor need of title.
He is the husband of Erica Carson a Terry Parker Graduate as well as father to Ian Jr. and Bailey Carson both graduates of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. Ian Jr attends FSCJ and Bailey will be attending either the University of Utah or FSU in the Fall of 23 majoring in Modern/Contemporary Dance and minoring in Communications.
